WHO ARE WE

The birth of “Agritourism” is the fruit of love between our father Massimo and our mother Aida; in the last 20 years, they have created some real treasure gems in this area, to discover.

The town that hosts them is Castiglion Fiorentino, a medieval town that tells its story since the time of the Etruscans. The historic centre and the neighbouring countryside offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of ancient times and experience the sensation of walking through picturesque medieval alleys. Painters, sculptors and artists of all kinds, such as Giorgio Vasari, Piero della Francesca, Giotto and many others, have left their mark in this area. Amongst them, we remember the extraordinary land reclamation of the underlying Valdichiana, designed in 1503 by Leonardo da Vinci. Castiglion Fiorentino, together with Arezzo, was the setting for the film "La vita è bella" (Life is Beautiful), by Roberto Benigni, which won an Oscar in 1997.
Our father Massimo, through his study and passion for the “Belle Arti”, mainly Tuscan fine arts, acted as a cornerstone for the birth of “Agritourism”. The choice of materials and the use of non-harmful products in addition, with low environmental impact in construction and restoration, make our villas concrete examples of bio building. Set in an enchanting natural landscape, we offer our guests the chance to taste the fruits of our work including wine, vegetables, seasonal fruits and our extra virgin olive oil, all according to the principles of organic farming.
Aida, besides being our mother, is the true essence of our Villas.
We, Carlotta and Alessandro, have chosen her name to honour her and to express our immense gratitude to her.
